To start off the Summer Holidays (YAY!!!!!) Mum put me in to do a sewing class at Gardems. The class went over 2 days from,10 - 2:30, and in that 8 hours (we had a lunch break for 1/2 hour) we were to make something using a pattern. I look through the choices they had given us and decided to make a dress with pockets. I chose a very original fabric, spots, and got straight into it. The first class was a little boring because some girls there had never sewn before so I had to wait for about 1/2 for them to catch up.,In the first 4 hours I had sewn on the pockets and sewn the 2 dress pieces together. The second 4 hours was slow with lots of unpicking and me getting fed up with the instructor which resulted into me not finishing the dress before the end. Though it sounds like I didn't enjoy it that much I did like it and met a few nice girls. I must congratulate the little boy for making a wonderful stripey shirt surrounded by girls.
