Not Long Now
Hello,
I can't believe that it is only 4 days until Christmas Day!!!!! In all the leading up excitement involving the advent calender and Christmas Parties, my sister and I have made time to make a Gingerbread house and my, it has turned out well, with a few dramas. Both our walls broke in half and we under cooked the roof so we had to make a frame for the inside of the house. I also was worried that the royal icing wasn't going to set but with the help of my sister telling me that is would all be fine our house looks fantastic :-)
A New Dress
To start off the Summer Holidays (YAY!!!!!) Mum put me in to do a sewing class at Gardems. The class went over 2 days from,10 - 2:30, and in that 8 hours (we had a lunch break for 1/2 hour) we were to make something using a pattern. I look through the choices they had given us and decided to make a dress with pockets. I chose a very original fabric, spots, and got straight into it. The first class was a little boring because some girls there had never sewn before so I had to wait for about 1/2 for them to catch up.,In the first 4 hours I had sewn on the pockets and sewn the 2 dress pieces together. The second 4 hours was slow with lots of unpicking and me getting fed up with the instructor which resulted into me not finishing the dress before the end. Though it sounds like I didn't enjoy it that much I did like it and met a few nice girls. I must congratulate the little boy for making a wonderful stripey shirt surrounded by girls. After my long, long explanation you are probably dying to see the dress, so here it is-

What a Lovely Headband
Good morning,
A few weeks ago mum bought a very pretty dress for me (I really like it) and yesterday I wanted to wear something in my hair that would go with the dress. I looked in my new sewing book and I decided to make a headband with roses on it. My dress is blue so I made the roses blue and the headband is white. It looks really nice with the dress. Mum said I should make one to go with my graduation dress. Here it is :) -

HP7 Troubles
Hello,
I went to see HP7 on the weekend and what a movie it was. I t was really scary in some parts (I sreamed 5 times) and when dobby dies it is so sad, I cryed but I loved it! Just before my friend came to pick me up I realized I had no bags that were easy to carry around and that were small, so I whipped one up in no time and the bag turned out really well. I was so proud! Here is a picture of a gorgeous bag!

Last weekend my aunt came up to say with us for a few days, her family has just bought a new house so I decided to make three owls for her three daughters. The owls I made will hopefully hang on the girls doors outside their room. Here are is a photo of them:

I was thinking this afternoon that I might sell a few softies on the internet, maybe on madeit.com.au but I am not sure. Bye

'Quapo' Challenge
Hello Wold,
It is hard to believe that I am talking to you, even though you don't answer it's still amazing
This is what I made on the weekend. I found a pic on the Internet of these fabulous what they call 'Quapos' and decided to make a pattern and create one.
First attempt!
Legs are a little skinny and face is much too big for is body. 'Mara' was made out of cushion so she was very hard to sew!

Second attempt!
I am so much more proud of this one it is so perfect!!!

Don't you just love my flet leaves!!!

Birds and PJ's
Good afternoon peps,
Right now I am eating a lovely Monte Carlo!!!
Today I would like to share some simple creations that I've made.

This simple pin cushion looks so lovely and is so easy to make. I used wadding to stuff it which is a silly mistake because some times I have to push the pin in a great amount of force!!

These are my sweet little coasters I made with birds machine sewedon. I hope you can tell that they are birds. They are one of my favs because my family uses them every night.
These are some pj's I made for a birthday. As you can see I made a softies that matched pj's. I just think it is so cute.
