Two Clara's

Do you remember, last year around the same time I made two little Nutcrackers using a Wee Wonderfuls pattern. Last year on Christmas day when my sisters received these Nutcrackers, I promised that next year a creation of some sort would be made to go with the Nutcracker. So this year I have made two Clara's. They don't really look like Clara but I thought they would look boring if they did, so I dressed them up a little in Christmas colours! The two Clara's are made from my very own Rosanna pattern and I am very happy with the turn out. My sisters will hopefully have a great Christmas with these dolls. Here are some pictures~

If I don't get to you before the big day; Merry Christmas

Doll for Fanning

Today I have made a doll, commissioned by Bernad Fanning's sister for Bernad Fanning's daughter, who lives in Spain! I am so excited by this and I thank the commissioner for asking me to make a doll for little Gabriella. This opportunity is really great and I am so honored to have it. I have made another Tag-a-long doll for her, with a pink dress and a purple collar. I'm very happy with the turn out and will be handing her over with pride. Here she is

Success

The Bardon Markets were a huge success, I sold nearly all of my stuff and earnt a whopping $182!!! Which means I get about $150 profit! I just can't believe all the support I got, even if someone didn't buy anything I got such supportive and encouraging comments about my stall. I am definaty going to do the stall again in the near coming year.

Christmas Helpers

With the horrible summer weather, this week I've been making heaps of Christmas decorations, getting ready to sell them this Sunday, the 11th of December, at the Bardon Community Markets (if you live in Brisbane and reading this, please come along!) I have also created my own doll. I designed, made a pattern and sewed this doll up all by myself with no help any books or people. I am calling this type of doll, Rosanna, after one of my great friends. I have to admit that these dolls are very good, not being modest at all, and there will be few of them at the Markets on Sunday! The hardest thing making these dolls was choosing the fabric, I think my first doll looks better than my second because of the choice of fabrics. Here is the first Rosanna~

And the second Rosanna~

Christmas Fever

My Birthday has passed and now I'm into the Christmas Spirit! I have made lots of Christmas decorations for the tree and to wear, using patterns by Molly's Scapbook and RevoluzZza. I am hoping to sell these at the Bardon Community Markets on an upcoming sunday, I'm really excited about it. The below is a Christmas star by RevoluzZza~

And this a Chistmas Snowball by Molly

Here is my Christmas Tree I will continue to decorate.

Aboriginal SOSE Project

Well I have finished my SOSE project on Aboriginal Body Painting, and this is the final result. I embroidered all the patterns and totemic symbols and sewed in the hair. I think it looks great. Dad made a special stand for them and a presented my work to the class and luckily got an 'A' for my work! Here is a picture of the dolls- the left one has designs of the desert regions and the right one has designs of the coastal regions.

Trail Patterns for SOSE Project

It is coming to the end of the year now and exams and assignments are loading up. Strangely enough I am actually enjoying one of my Assignment tasks, my SOSE Multi-modal. We have been learning about Indigenous Australians before white men settled in class. For my project I am going to study Aboriginal art, especially body painting. I am going to present a speech on body painting and to represent the paintings I have been designing a pattern of my first Aboriginal Doll. I am very excited about this! All day I have been testing original patterns made by me ad finally I have the perfect one! My first attempt was a bit of a fail; one arm was crooked and longer than the other and the head was caving in as well as off center. Hear is a picture-

The Rainbow Carnival

The weather was absolutely beautiful yesterday for the Rainbow Carnival. I ended up selling all three three of my dolls and I can't believe what they sold for! The School Girl that I made on Sunday sold for $50 and the Purple doll, for a little bit less! A lady wanted to buy my Red doll but thought that $50 was too much to pay, she said that she is happy to buy it for $30 from me so I get profit! I am so excited, the dolls just made my day! Here is a picture of the Girls at the Handmade Stall~

Cheery School Girl on a Rainy Day

Well I can't believe my organisation skills! It is week 8 in the school term and I've had time to make pretty little school girl. With a green uniform and green eyes, I think everyone will be green with envy when they see this pretty gal! Wearing my old school uniform she brings back memories of my primary school days. Miss Un-named is based on the Mimi Kirchner felt doll pattern, I'm completely and utterly obsessed with Mimi's blog at the moment; doll. Tomorrow is the Rainbow Carnival (fete at my old school) and I was going to sell this doll but I only have one so I am going to make a list that people can sign to order one. Anyway I have added some photos below of Miss Un-named, any ideas on names?

Well I don't when I'll update again because on the first week of holidays I am going on tour with My school band! Yay!

The Fox- By Charlotte

Welcome back,

My goals for this blog haven't been going very well because of the amount of homework/assessment. This holiday I've been working on a pattern that I have downloaded from Germany. It was a little tricky but I took my time and my Fox turned out really well. You can make a boy or a girl with with t-shirts, dresses, skirts, shorts, pants, shoes, boots and anything that tickles your fancy. I made a boy Fox with denim shorts and a blue and white checked shirt, a tail is optional but I thought he would suit a tail and so I made one. Here are a few pictures of him, I'll be back with a girl Fox in no time.

The Fox- by Revoluzzza

Hello,

While I was checking out Revoluzzza when I was looking for Easter softies I came across the most beautiful fox softies I had ever seen. Made from bright red material and wearing dresses and suits I couldn't help but feel love towards them. Although most of the blogs are in German I use google translate and translate them in to English so I read what what revoluzzza has said. I was so happy when she posted, Ich bin auf der Fuchs-Tutorial im Moment arbeiten- I am working on the fox tutorial at the moment. I am hoping that dad we let me buy it off the Internet and get it shipped here. If I can I can't wait! Here are a few pictures from her blog.

Hopefully the next thing you will see on my blog is a fox!

More Eggs

Just a short entry today. This morning all I did was make up more of my fabulous fabric eggs. I am making them for the people we are staying at on Easter and hopefully they will enjoy them. I am very happy with how they turned out and they look so good when the eggs are all in a basket. The bunny that I made yesterday has changed from a girl to a boy overnight and is now called Mr. Snip because he has scissors all over him. Mr. Snip is going to be very busy on Easter delivering all his fabric eggs to the little girls and boys, hopefully the boys and girls will love their new type of eggs! Here are a few photos of Mr. Snip and the eggs- (enjoy)

Thinking Easter

I never realised how close Easter was!!! Only 5 days away. Today I was thinking Easter and getting very hungry, all that chocolate, I can't wait. Back to topic, I thought that making an Easter softie was a great idea. I searched the Internet and found a gorgeous pattern made by Revoluzzza of a very cute bunny. She was quite easy and looks great now she is finished. Here she is- Anyone got any name ideas?

After finishing this bunny I got on the computer to find her some eggs. I found this amazing pattern on Retro Mama of fabric eggs. The author also does pears, apples and pumpkins. Here are what my version of the eggs look like. I am very pleased with how they turned out :) Here are my Easter Eggs-

This is a picture of the bunny and her Easter Eggs. I hope you like it and have a great Easter. Have fun eating all that chocolate. YUM!!!!

Long Time no See (sorry)

Bonjour mon ami, As you can probably tell I am doing french at St Peters. Sorry for not blogging for SO LONG!! I have been very busy though, and sadly only got to make one softie this term :( This little girl is something to look at. I saw her in my Wee Wonderfuls book and couldn't wait to try her out. I am so happy with how she looks and feels (she is so soft) and couldn't wait to share her with you! In the book you can make an apron the she fits into. That is why she is called the "Tag-along-doll" I didn't make that though because I wanted to keep the doll and she is perfect without it. Here is the gorgeous Gal-

My aims for this year relating to this blog are: Blog at least once a week. Upload a few patterns. Make a Sausage dog softie. And make more than 1 softie a term!

Once again sorry for not blogging for like 3 MONTHS!

A Big shout out to all the people who have been affected by the floods and a huge one to everyone who helped clean up Brisbane in 2 days - Well done! On Monday my sisters had to go back to school while I stayed home and contacted all my new books for St Peters. I am so excited I can't wait. On Monday after I finished contacting my books I started on a project out of Wee Wonderfuls. Here she is- I named her Ellie the Caterpiller!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everybody,

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone who reads my blog- 2 people!!! This year I spent chrissy down the coast with my dads family and I was lucky enough that Father Christmas brought me a lovely sewing book called Wee Wonderfuls. Wee Wonderfuls is my favorite blog to read and I make sure I check it everyday if I can. If you know anyone who is into making softies and things I like to make this is the perfect gift!

When my sister saw the book and creations inside it ,she begged me to make her the sleepover pals. The Sleepover Pals are three gorgeous girls that are tuck up in a sleeping bag ready for bed all the time! here is a picture of the one I made- I must admit these are not my best-
